Supervision and Mentoring

Eccentric Minds is currently offering professional supervision and mentoring for health practitioners.

Clinical & Professional Supervision

For mental health allied practitioners, provisional and early career psychologists

Yelka is an AHPRA board-approved supervisor with a wealth of therapeutic and assessment experience, supporting primarily adult clients across a wide range of presentations including PTSD, psychosis, bipolar, personality disorders, gender dysphoria/incongruence, eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, ADHD, autism and depression.

As a supervisor, Yelka offers supervisees a supportive, empowering and inclusive space to develop their professional identity. She draws on her experience to help supervisees bridge the gap between theory and practice, with a strong focus on ethical, accessible and affirming care. In particular, she provides supervision in the following areas:

  • Development of telehealth or local solo private practice (including task checklists).
  • Using CBT, ERP, DBT, transdiagnostic and adapted therapeutic approaches for a variety of adult presentations.
  • Working with clients at different risk levels, with co-occurring conditions and complexities, within the public and/or private sector.
  • Comprehensive psychological assessment for the purpose of diagnostic clarification, therapy, funding applications, risk management and/or care coordination.
  • Administration and interpretation of standardised psychometric tools and interviews including the WISC, WAIS, WIAT, PAI, DIVA-5 and many others.
  • Report writing for the purposes of university programs, internship case reports, client funding applications and psychological assessment.
  • Working competently and sensitively with culturally, gender, sexuality, disability, neurodivergent and body shape diverse peoples.
  • Navigating professional complexities of working in the public and/or private mental health sector, as well as the disability/NDIS sector (ie. systemic limitations, workload, value conflicts).
  • Navigating ethical dilemmas, mandatory report requirements and scope of practice.
  • Working towards clinical and professional competencies required for AHPRA psychology registration.
