Eccentric Minds is currently offering professional supervision for health practitioners and academic mentoring for university students studying mental-health related courses.
Yelka is an AHPRA board-approved supervisor with a wealth of therapeutic and assessment experience, supporting primarily adult clients across a wide range of presentations including PTSD, psychosis, personality disorders, gender dysphoria, eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, ADHD, autism and depression.
As a supervisor, Yelka offers supervisees a supportive, empowering and inclusive space to develop their professional identity. She draws on her experience to help supervisees bridge the gap between theory and practice, with a strong focus on ethical, accessible and affirming care. In particular, she provides supervision in the following areas:
Yelka is available to provide primary or secondary AHPRA board-approved supervision services to 4+2 and 5+1 psychology supervisees completing their internships, as well as psychologically focused supervision for early career psychologists and other allied health professionals (counsellors, therapists, mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and others).
Yelka has been providing academic mentoring and tuition services to university students studying undergraduate and postgraduate psychology in Australia since 2015.
Based in her personal experience studying psychology at Macquarie University and the Cairnmillar Institute, as well as her university teaching and marking experience, Yelka provides comprehensive and adaptive 1:1 mentoring and written assignment feedback for current psychology students.
She also provides academic feedback for theses, masters applications, case reports, interpreting statistical output and mentoring for psychology students who want to learn about their options for psychology-focused career pathways.
